A loving mother, wife, survivor, and lifelong observer of the wonderfully ridiculous details that make life interesting.  The creativity is fueled by curiosity, humor, and a tendency to take an ordinary idea and ask, "But what if we made it a little more interesting?"  Fortunately, my husband who regularly supplies the spark, has a perfectly timed phrase, an unexpected comment, or something said completely offhand that can send me laughing and then down a creative rabbit hole exploring just how far the idea can go.  Some of my favorite concepts have begun with exactly these moments.  I understand that life can be incredibly beautiful and incredibly hard.  Being a survivor has shaped the way I view the world and it has strengthened my appreciation for the people, moments, absurdities, and tiny details that are easy to overlook.  I believe there is something powerful about still wanting to laugh, giggle, create, and occasionally be a little inappropriate.  As an author and creator, I gravitate toward a playful visual storytelling, satire, pop culture, human behavior, and the strange comedy hiding in everyday life.  I invite adults to slow down, look closer, discover something unexpected, and most importantly not take everything quite so seriously, because sometimes life deserves deep thought.  And sometimes you just need to spot something ridiculous and giggle.
